Two years! I’ve officially been blogging for two years, and I can’t believe how far I’ve come and how dang much fun it is!
Two years ago I sat down in an apartment I no longer live in and started messing around on Squarespace to see what I could create, with very little expectation that anything would ever come of it. Here I am two years later sitting in a different apartment with over two thousand unique readers a month on five different continents (dang, Africa, help a girl out here!!) and such a dorky sense of accomplishment and contentment.
I’ve had more fun than I could ever have foreseen turning this place into what it is for me. It’s crazy to look back at some of my earliest (poorly formatted!!) posts and think about how I had no idea what I was doing. I’d spend hours laboring over whether I liked this header or that one better, how to title posts, whether I should share with anyone what I was doing…and now I don’t even think twice. Writing about as much as I possibly can is just ingrained as part of my day to day life, and it’s completely enriched my life as a result.
I love to write, I love to share, and I love to make connections, and this silly blog has completely enabled that on numerous levels. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to pop over and read, even if it’s just once, and EXTRA thanks to everyone who has encouraged and supported me over the last several years in this admittedly crazy project. I love you all, and I love doing this!
Happy second birthday, little blog. Here’s to a lot more milestones to come!
